Overview This position is part of the Corporate Underwriting team in Home Office. As a member of our team, you will provide high-level support to the underwriting function. You will assist in the preparation of new business quotes and policy issuance, as well as rating both new business and renewal applications, while maintaining accuracy and achieving due dates. This position is for an individual who has demonstrated alignment to AmTrust''s mission, vision, and values. Responsibilities Handles specific underwriting tasks as instructed by underwriter or department manager.Provide and/or assist with quotations for new business and renewals reviews and quotations.Process and/or assist with cancellations, nonrenewal notices, and audit reviews.Process endorsements that are tasked to be handled within the Underwriting Department.Fulfills brokers requests for loss runs, copies of policies, copies of invoicing, etc.Provides agency support of general questions regarding renewal status, endorsement status, cancellation status, billing inquires, commission questions, etc. Qualifications Required:1+ years of clerical or administrative insurance experience requiredGood organization, time management and strong attention to detail.Must be able to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced atmosphereDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and One Note) Preferred: Basic understand of workers'' compensation insurance coverages, forms and processes preferred.Working knowledge of PC based systems and applications such as Microsoft Office and data-based systemsStrong verbal, reading and written communication skillsThis job description is designed to provide a general overview of the requirements of the job and does not entail a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties, or responsibilities that will be required in this position.
