Job Description

Overview We are looking for a collaborative individual to support procurement services in the Contingency Division largely supporting Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP). The position will be located in the Support Services department and operationally reports to the Director of Support Services (direct reporting). In addition, the Procurement Specialist will work closely with and receive procurement guidance, directions and assignments from the LBS Director of procurement and contracting. The ideal candidate, for this role should be experienced in the areas of Federal Contracting and Procurement Administration. Experience with Military, Department of Defense (DoD) Contracting is a plus point. Seeking a self-starter, and a creative, critical thinker with a curious mindset who is willing to learn, and grow within the organization. You must be detail orientated, organized, an effective communicator, able to work independently and have the ability to prioritize and multi-task, across various responsibilities. The candidate must also be able to communicate and interact with people at every level, including upper management. Learn more about the COVID-19 vaccination here - Responsibilities Support the Procurement functions, largely related to the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) in the Contingency Division.Under the supervision of the LBS Director of Procurement, serve as a point of contact for coordinating between the field office, program management office and corporate office on issues related to subcontracting and procurement;Work with LBS Procurement Management Systems, to process requisitions or purchase orders; and facilitate timely vendor payments; Provide support in preparing, reviewing, solicitations, preparing cost and price analysis, and facilitating subcontract awards and modifications; Recommend, improve and document tools and business processes, and controls;Basic knowledge of various source selection processes, and acquisition methods;Ensure the integrity of vendor data, and all data gathered;Help ensure all relevant, administrative and contractual business controls are enforced and satisfied;Collaborate with team, customers and internal business partners to identify areas for process improvement;Analytical, data driven approach with an attention to detail;Ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information, draw conclusions, and report data as needed;Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve problems that may not have one clear answer;Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners/partners to overcome obstacles and deliver results;A desire to grow professionally as the role''s responsibility grows rapidly with the business Qualifications Bachelor''s degree or 4 years of relevant industry experience;Basic Familiarity with USG Regulations; FAR/DFAR, as well as other Agency specific requirements;Knowledge of fair and compliant acquisition and subcontracting processes; Prior experience supporting civil engineering, construction management, mission essential, defense, and contingency, and/or overseas operations favored;Positive attitude, driven, and works with integrity.Ability to work in a remote environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience, working with Procurement and/or with Federal Government Contracts, preferred;Experience generating department-level documents for senior managementExperience with process development and improvementA desire to grow professionally as the role''s responsibility grows rapidly with the business
