Our client has a global footprint and is a well-established company that provides solutions to the energy industry. Ideally, they would like to hire a candidate for this role before the holidays. This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.The purpose of this position is to help protect the organization''s assets by performing audits to ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. You will be responsible for performing payroll audit functions as required by the Client/Administrative Service Agreements. Assist the Payroll Manager in ensuring the timely completion of assigned department responsibilities and projects and ensuring the department is complainant with policies and procedures that are assigned to the department.Job Responsibilities: Review and analyze payroll records to ensure compliance with appropriate contracts Review payroll records, hours and verifies employee pay, deduction, and benefit amounts for accuracy. Inspects payroll discrepancies to ensure employees are properly compensated in accordance with state, federal, and local laws. Conduct root cause analyses and identify systemic problems/issues. Complete data entry and document errors/omissions Ensure that the department is in compliance with corporate guidelines, best practices, and contractual agreements. Meet all Legal request deadlines and keep open communication when items requested cannot be located? Provide ad-hoc reports to management. Will work closely with legal and other departments as necessary. Maintain subject matter expertise regarding regulations and compliance requirements. This includes reviewing agency updates, association publications, etc.Qualifications: Three or more years of relevant work experience. Knowledge of audit and payroll practices, policies, and procedures. Ability to multi-task, support day-to-day activities while managing multiple inquiries and work in a time-sensitive, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills; strong written communication skills, capability to communicate clearly and effectively across various levels in the organization. Capability to be a self-starter with the ability to work independently. Ability to multi-task. Good problem-solving skills. Experience with data analytics and or advanced Excel skills a huge plus.
