Forklift Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary: Works with the maintenance FIIX system for PM''s and work orders. Performs multiple PM''s and repairs on forklifts, sweepers and electrical lifts. Manages inventory of spare parts and OEM vendors. Essential Job Duties: Use and care of basic and hand power tools.Able to perform tasks such as PM''s, wiring, repairing motors, hydraulics, gears, bearings, gearboxes and safety guards.Must be able to use basic tools and PM related tools.Must be able to create work orders and convey thoughts to paper for other mechanics to understand.Able to follow direction but must also be self-motivated.Must be able to detect premature failure of parts and equipment related systems. Must follow step-by-step instructions for the Cogz PM sheets record all information of equipment and meet deadline of scheduled PM''s. Able to read, understand and apply various technical manuals to daily assigned work.Must be observant to all mechanical/electrical flaws on forklift equipment.Must schedule OEM vendors for pick-up and repair of forklifts.Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the entire maintenance forklift pleting all paperwork on time.Attending all required meetings.Required Qualifications:High school diploma or GED; some College preferred, and/or equivalent experience.Must have 1-3 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.Must be able to read and understand MSDS sheets.Good interpersonal skills.Good communication skills - oral and written.
