Our client in the Robinson Township are of Pittsburgh, PA is hiring multiple Customer Care Specialists. Our client is a fast growing company in the Medical Insurance and Claims Industry where their employees enjoy a casual dress, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities for the Injury Care Specialist include the following:Performs the following duties for the Injury Care Department as directed by the Injury Care Manager and/or PresidentJob Description •Manage employers? work-related injuries to include scheduling all physician, specialist, physical therapy, and diagnostic appointments for their injured workers.•Ensures all physical therapy and diagnostic testing is scheduled with PCS network providers.•Acts as a liaison between the injured worker, physician, employer, insurance carrier/TPA, and other medical providers.•Tracks all injured workers? physician and diagnostic appointments in the CMS system on a daily basis.•On a daily basis, obtains completed patient status forms from physicians, review for completion and accuracy, and assure they are distributed to employers and insurance carriers within 24 hours and according to procedure.•Contact providers for missing information on an as-needed basis.•Once reports are documented and reviewed, you will distribute them according to the special handling instructions per the account.•Thoroughly documents patient appointments, treatment plan, and progress in patients? case notes per injury care procedures.•Assures all patient status reports, medical information, and diagnostic reports, are saved in the appropriate file by referral I.D. in Document Manager.•Work closely with the Marketing Department to resolve client issues and potential problems. •Make recommendations to the Client Services Department with regard to panel physicians and physical therapy network needs.•Notify CSD of any providers who are not compliant.•Reviews daily appointment count report to make sure all appointments appear on your daily appointment report.•Reviews all newly assigned files for completeness and accuracy.•Maintains a daily and weekly statistical report of all daily appointments, physical therapy, FCE, and Diagnostic scheduling within PCS''s network and submit this to the Intake Coordinator weekly•Provides backup coverage to the intake department during vacations and high volume periods•Ensures that personnel, client, donor and volunteer files are securely stored and privacy/confidentiality is maintained•Performs various other reasonable duties as directed by managementRequirements for the Injury Care Specialist include the following:•High school diploma or equivalent•Medical assistant certification or other related certification such as Medical Terminology•Basic computer knowledge•Excellent verbal and written communication skills•Excellent organizational skillsValued Skills & Experience - Preferred but not required:•Knowledge of PA Workers?
