Controller

Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking a Controller. This office is located in the heart of downtown Chicago and offers growth and development. The Opportunity The Controller will oversee the accounting and financial reporting function, reporting to the Director of Accounting though interacting frequently with the CFO and other business leaders. You will also liaise with the Financial Systems Administrator on process/reporting improvements and system enhancements, and assist the Director of Accounting with cash management, credit compliance, insurance and other special projects as they arise. You will also work closely with our outside accounting firm on the preparation and review of the year end audited financial statements. Please note this is a hands-on role, requiring active involvement in day-to-day accounting and financial issues. Mentoring, delegation of responsibility, and cross training of team members will be key to your success.
