The GSOC Lead Operator (Special Programs) assists in leading the day-to-day activities assigned to a specialized team within Amazon Corporate Security. This position is responsible for supporting the line-level supervision of up to ten Operators. The successful candidate will help drive team success and ensure all Task Force positions are staffed with qualified personnel and all operations are conducted in line with established policy and procedure. The Task Force''s current mission focus is related to the client''s response to COVID-19. A successful candidate will be able to pivot into any number of projects as requested by the client.GSOC Lead Operator (Special Programs)Department: Amazon Corporate SecurityLocation: Arlington, Virginia or Seattle, WashingtonEmployment Type: Full TimeThe GSOC Lead Operator (Special Programs) will assist the Supervisor with supporting and managing Amazon Corporate Security''s GSOC with specialization in COVID response work. This is a full-time contracted position that is located in both the South Lake Union district of Seattle, WA and the Crystal City district of Arlington, VA.Essential Job FunctionsAssists the supervisor with the day-to-day responsibilities of a team of up to ten operators. Assists supervisor with planning and assigning work, ensuring timely completion of all assignments and responsibilities. Assist employees to prioritize effectively when facing competing demands.Support the individual employees and foster a collaborative group dynamic; provide effective conflict resolution when needed.Support team performance goals and objectives to meet customer expectations.Assist Supervisor with oversight for the quality of the team''s various projects and reports. Ensures products, services, and other outputs meet associated service level agreements and/or client expectations for accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.Respond to inquiries and escalations from internal business partners and customers, including senior leadership teams.Assist supervisor in leveraging data analysis skills to identify gaps, provide adequate response and drive process or system improvement changes to completion.Additional Job Functions:Notifies and coordinates corporate response by distribution of advisories and other piles daily reports and incident reports.Performs other related duties and special projects as required. Minimum Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or equivalent requiredAt least 18 years of ageAs a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and pre-employment drug screeningStrong Customer Service skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to read, write, and speak clearly in EnglishAble to work collaboratively in a team environmentComfortable with high-tech work environment, and constant learning of new tools and innovationsWillingness to assist the team with overtime when neededProficient in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite Preferred Qualifications:Associate''s degree or 2+ years of equivalent work experience in military, government, corporate security, high-volume call centers, high-volume customer service centers, and/or entry- to mid-level administrative work. International Affairs/Relations/Business, Emergency Management, Political Science, Criminal Justice or related disciplinesExperience with technology systems managing a significant volume of data or actions, such as security systems and/or technology supporting fast turnaround of customer service requests.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of this job.
