Our billers work in a supportive team environment, understand all aspects of the billing cycle, and are responsible for resolving billing errors. This position will be considered hybrid with a mix of at home and in office work.ResponsibilitiesOur comprehensive paid training is 6-8 weeks, Monday-Friday. After the training period, flexible day shift hours are available. !!!Potential incentive of up to $3.00 per hour!!!Responsibilities: Acquire, interpret, and apply payor rules and regulations to ensure claims and appeals are submitted and processed in accordance with proper guidelines. Compose appeal letters to third party payors. Utilize all resources and websites as a tool to retrieve pertinent information related to accounts receivable tasks and assignments. Communicate with other departments, hospital personnel, and payors to identify and resolve issues causing rejections and denials, utilizing applications and databases. Maintain all department standards associated with productivity and quality. Responsible for adhering to Information Security Policies and ensuring that Envision is as secure as possible.QualificationsQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 6 months direct experience in healthcare billing; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Working knowledge of PC applications (MS Office). Working knowledge of medical billing/insurance terminology. Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Blue Shield rules and regulations. Effective oral, written, and communication skills. Ability to effectively manage workload in a high-volume environment, strong attention to detail. Flexible, high achiever with ability to learn quickly and meet department goals and deadlines. Ability to compute percentages and basic math functions. Ability to identify and solve moderate to highly complex problems independently. Organized, detail oriented with excellent follow through abilities. Can handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
