This position is remote or hybrid 1-2 days located at our office located in Houston, TX. Direct Energy gives customers choice, simplicity, and innovation where energy, data, and technology meet. NRG owns and operates more than 24,000 megawatts of generation capacity, including 11,000 megawatts of capacity in Texas. The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for providing leadership, strategy, and direction to the Digital Content & SEO team and contributing to Direct Energy''s success by developing and measuring strong SEM objectives. They will help set the standard and voice for content across multiple channels and lines of business, including social media, blog, and the acquisition journey. Continuous Improvement of content strategy to align with changing industry standards, platform changes, and company objectives. Responsibilities Plan and execute a digital content strategy aligned with the overarching digital vision to drive traffic, engagement, and conversions Works with other departments to create comprehensive content plans and KPIs to support marketing and customer care initiatives Develops and reports on campaign metrics and key findings to leadership Works closely with paid media to contribute to SEM objectives that meet company goals Create, implement, test, and optimize digital content, ensuring it''s aligned with customer journeys, business objectives, brand standards, and market regulations Leverage insight from a wide variety of sources (user research, usability testing, competitor sites, Google Analytics/Adobe Analytics, Google Console, etc.) to identify opportunities for driving value with content within the digital experience Lead day-to-day management of content and optimization on the website within our CMS, i.e. build landing pages, update or remove existing pages, handle redirects, fix issues such as broken links or HTML errors, maintain metadata, coordinate CMS updates, assist with technical troubleshooting Manage all aspects of on-page SEO, including but not limited to: research and analysis, site optimization, content strategy, technical site auditing, and monitoring, and performance reporting Monitor and manage day-to-day keyword and SEO optimization within an SEO platform Perform regular site audits to ensure UX, SEO, accessibility, regulatory compliance, and technical set-up adhere to best practices and business goals. Periodically assist with content needs outside of the digital team, such as emails, advertising, etc. Develops and measures performance objectives for the team and ensures results are measurable Accountable for strategic content plan and integration with other groups'' initiatives Meets with the team regularly to review individual performance, provide feedback and coaching, and develop training and career progression plans to ensure the success of the individuals within the team. Manage content calendars to ensure timely content and troubleshoot challenges to fulfill campaign needs. Work with the Customer Care team to develop standards and collaborate on email content that will best fit marketing and care objectives. Minimum Requirements Bachelor''s Degree in Journalism, Marketing, or related field 5+ years of experience in writing, editing, and managing digital content 5+ years of experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) SEM knowledge with a background in SEO, social platforms, and digital marketing analytics Expertise in inter-team communication Familiarity with Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter analytics Analytical and strong organizational and project management skills with excellent verbal and written ability Preferred Qualifications Energy experience preferred, but not required Agency experience and team management a plus SEO platform/tool experience preferred, but not required NRG Energy is committed to a drug and alcohol-free workplace.
