Planner/ Scheduler

• Analyze demand, inventory, capacity, and supply for assigned product families • Plan and Schedule equipment sales orders based upon current capacity and raw material lead times • Work with sales, marketing, and operations to analyze and propose and maintain actual and target lead times • Conduct capacity analysis with proposed demand volume; make capacity adjustments to management • Maintain the master capacity planning tool for assigned areas and update accordingly with changes in capacity due to manpower, attendance, skill diversity (cross-training), and overall load. • Ensure that the Promise Dates provided to customers align with available manufacturing and fabrication capacity and material delivery timing. Assist in goal to achieve >95% OTS with stability. • In collaboration with operations and engineering, establish and execute on make to stock, make to order, and configure to order strategy. Adjust "Quick Ship" (make to stock) levels periodically as appropriate. • Maintain close working relationship with operations, buyers and sales personnel to affectively address schedule questions • Cut all Work Orders as needed • Communicate closely with Inside and Outside Sales on changes in performance vs. promise dates • Conferring with buyers and operations, maintain applicable planning parameters in the MRP and Master Production Schedule models to maximize flexibility while minimizing working capital • Analyze inventory levels on a monthly basis to identify constraints or slow moving inventory; make planning adjustments • Provide daily instructions as needed to shop floor scheduling. • Daily walk of floor with supervisors and leads to assess status of master schedule vs. actual • Participate in the monthly sales and operations planning process, participating in the demand review, directing the supply review and subsequent demand/supply reconciliation in line with approved planning parameters
