Mechanical Machine Assembler - Akron, Ohio - JOB 21-00451 Salary Range: $14.00 - $25.00/HR Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply. Akron based original equipment manufacturer has an immediate need for several experienced mechanical assemblers. The duties of these positions will entail machinery assembly from prints and other, general shop duties. Candidates will need to provide their own set of basic tools and safety shoes. REQUIREMENTS • HS diploma (technical school training is a plus) • Supervision / Management experience is a plus but not required • Demonstrated experience with machine/mechanical assembly from prints • Working knowledge of all typical hand and power tools • Ability to interpret mechanical prints and ideally hydraulic schematics • Steel toe safety shoes required • Must have own tool box with hand tools, full sets, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers hammer, etc. • Welding skills highly desirable • 1st shift (8am 4:pm with occasional overtime) • Physical capability to stand for long periods and climb, kneel, etc. as needed Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
