Position Overview: This is a working Senior Analyst role within the Middle Office - Product Control team, supporting Motiva''s Supply & Trading team. The incumbent will primarily be responsible for daily Risk Exposure, P&L analysis and reporting, and will be involved with related initiatives and projects in support of key stakeholders and continuous improvement efforts. Responsibilities: Daily activities will include Risk Exposure and P&L analysis and reporting.Liaise with Front Office and IT as necessary to trouble-shoot and resolve discrepancies.Work with Finance and Accounting to close the books at month-end.Assist with identification, development, testing and implementation of New Activity Enablement, ETRM System Enhancements, Continuous Improvement and/or various other project initiatives.Experience and Qualifications Required: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field of studyAt least 5-8 years of relevant experience in a trading, compliance, risk control, or financeExcellent knowledge of Refined Products and/or Crude marketsPrior experience using Right AngleStrong understanding of trading instruments (futures, swaps, options, etc.) and physical commodity markets, including representation and scheduling within Right Angle.Strong understanding of risk concepts, such as Long/Short, Market/Price, P&L, Operational, Credit, Position Limits, etcPrior Control experience (e.g. independent price verification, fair value accounting, liquidity reserves, etc.) and understanding of risks to financial accounting statementsProven track record of having the analytical, organizational, problem solving skillsExcellent presentation, written and verbal communication skillsInterpersonal skills to effectively build relationship, work as a team, and influence stakeholders at various level of the organizationAbility to take initiative and work independently to deliver resultsMust be proficient with MS ExcelPreferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of RINs, regulatory credit markets, and Ethanol.Experience using Risk Management systemsExperience with exposure decomposition and how Crude/Intermediate Feedstocks/Refined Products markets are traded and pricedProficiency in:TableauMS PowerPointAccess, Oracle, or comparable database applications is preferred
