Job Description:Job Description:A Software Engineer III is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the role include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. This role ensures solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. These individuals possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry, and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns.Key Responsibilities:Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements.Participate and guide team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.Code solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.Utilize multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements.Assist team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.Design/develop/modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.Design/develop/maintain automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).Set up and develop a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline.Automate manual release activities.Mentor other Software Engineers and coach team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack.Required Skills:Proficiency in JAVA developmentSpring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC and Spring BatchHTML 5, CSS, BootstrapJS Web Development such as Angular or ReactSource code management Git/Bitbucket, and others.Build automation and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment using tools like Jenkins, Ansible Tower and othersDesired Skills:Knowledge of build tools and processes like Maven, Ant and othersExperience in using RDBMS/SQL Familiarity and Exposure to Oracle and SQL ServerFamiliarity with RESTful APIsTesting methods and tools - Junit, Mockito and KarmaUnderstanding of microservices architecture.Soft skills:Strong passion for delivering technical solutions to business problemsVery good understanding of object-oriented design principles and programming and be able to put this knowledge into practice.Understand Agile software delivery methodology Ability to work in a dynamic environmentTeam player who understands the importance of team work and collaborationPassion for delivering new approaches and challenging the ''status-quo''Technically curious and striving for continuous improvementBank of America''s Global Banking and Markets Technology Organization....Believes diversity makes us stronger so we can reflect, connect and meet the diverse needs of our clients and employees around the world.Is committed to building a workplace where every employee is welcomed and given the support and resources to perform their jobs successfully.
