Job Description

For more than 30 years, ECM has been helping home and business owners with their appliance, electrical, plumbing, and air conditioning needs. ECM services customers in Broward, Palm Beach, and between Martin and St Lucie Counties with over 130 fully equipped trucks. We are the leader in home warranty service and A/C sales generating more than 30 million in revenue. ECM is currently interviewing for a dynamic and energetic Help Desk Technician to assist the Director of IT/MIS and work in a team environment supporting client computers and users. Responsibilities and Duties A successful candidate will be responsible for: Configure and deploy workstations and mobile devices to end users System hardware/software installations Assist with breakdown, transport and setup of computer equipment Lifting to include computers, IT equipment, etc. Answer incoming IT helpdesk calls Log and track service tickets using problem management database Document IT/MIS problems and resolutions in knowledge base Basic system administration including end user security setup Active Directory administration Support IT asset management tasks such as receiving equipment, modifying equipment database, and recycling end of life assets Troubleshoot and Fix basic hardware/software problems Monitoring server logs, events, performance, and backups Phone system administration IT/MIS Tech general support for all applications Walking users through problem-solving processes Training users on software applications Call software and hardware vendors to request service Observe daily activates to learn overall IT infrastructure, methods, and standards Other duties as assigned Job Requirements: Associate''s degree or technical diploma in Information Technology, computer science, or related field or combination of education and experience will be acceptable in lieu of a degree Knowledge of Window client Operation Systems Experience with Microsoft Office products Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot and fix software, hardware and networking problems Experience with Mobile devices, including cell phones, tablets, and laptops Demonstrate excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical users at all levels of an organization Demonstrates the characteristics of courtesy, honesty, and integrity Ability to work with peers in a team effort Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, plan and organize work to meet deadlines Capability to efficiently complete tasks in a fast pace environment Ability to work extended hours or weekends when needed to meet project demands Capacity to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, pull, push boxes and manipulate equipment.
