Description Caterpillar''s Resource Industries Division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Planning Engineer to support Aftermarket Parts. In this role, you will be responsible for working with aftermarket parts suppliers and facility Supply Chain personnel to determine availability dates and meet on-time delivery of committed orders. You will be responsible for the development, implementation, training, and execution of new tools and processes to support dealer inquiries and supply chain performance. You will lead efforts to develop and implement the Plan for Every Part, support prioritization on constrained parts, and improved throughput efficiency. Job Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsible for performing work to achieve supply chain performance targets and improved order-to-delivery results Leads efforts to gather and analyze data for each part and process steps to communicate performance metrics and support corrective actions Leads efforts to develop parts availability plans for highly constrained parts in the quoted orders space. Develops and executes training to support quoted order requests and order management processes Leads cross-functional teams to achieve performance targets and trigger escalation plans when necessary Works with diverse, multi-functional work teams to drive improvements required to meet order Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree, preferably related to Supply Chain and 2+ years of supply chain experience In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of progressively responsible supply chain job experience 3+ years experience in roles specific to Global Parts Supply, Customer Services, or Inventory Management"‹ Top Candidates will also have: Advanced Microsoft Office skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with the CPS RIW and Value Stream Transformation process Previous experience as a Supply Chain Planning Engineer A background in Supply Chain, Manufacturing / Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning, Demand Management, Product Support and/or Logistics Additional Information The location for this position is Morton, IL Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
