Looking for a strong Payroll candidate to lead the department and work closely with Controller to perform Accounts Payable duties. Excellent culture with great benefits! The position is working onsite in Central San Diego. Job Description:Process semi-monthly payroll including garnishments, benefits, and taxes, consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws for 160 employeesProcess all additional pay including incentives, commissions, bonusesProcess time & labor: timecards, adjustments, approvals, time off request, all time-off accruals (sick, PTO, VAC, FFCRA, BRVMT, JURY, etc.)Maintain payroll in compliance for each state.Process live checks Assist employees with payroll related activitiesTrack and update all employee''s payroll policiesDetermine appropriate general ledger coding and enter invoices into the general ledgerCompare vendor invoices and packing slips, ensure the unit price and quantity aligns with the purchase order, if applicableArrange weekly check payments and bi-monthly wire payments, including voiding checks and manual checks for review and filingPrepare month end reports for expense accruals at the end of the monthMaintain vendor master file and set up new vendor accountsFile checks, wires, invoices, and related documentsAssist with processing 1099''s to recipients at year end as well as providing documents for yearly audit.Keys to hire: Minimum of 3+ years experience in payroll processing 2+ years of experience in APADP and Paylocity experience preferredBenefits administration experience is a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBachelors degree is preferredWe are an equal opportunity employer and make hiring decisions based on merit.
