CAD Engineer

CAD Engineer Location: Huntington Beach, CA (92647) Job ID: 62730 Duration: 3 - 6 mos Pay Rate: DOE - $ ph (W2) Job Description: Creates basic designs of aircraft interiors, structures and mechanical systems for Fit, Form and Function to meet customer criteria, quality standards, FAA requirements, budget and project schedules using Computer Aided Drafting/Design tools. Duties: Creates entire documentation packages including drawings, bill of materials, material definition, trim and finish requirements, dimensions, and applicable tolerances. Adheres to assigned budgets and schedules. Makes revisions to size, shape and arrangement of parts to create practical design. Maintains regular communication with lead engineers, senior design engineers and engineering managers on assigned duties. Experience: 6+ years Requires in-depth knowledge and experience Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions Works independently; receives minimal guidance Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience Represents the level at which career may stabilize for many years or even until retirement Education: Bachelor''s degree (B.S) in engineering required or 4 years of relevant engineering experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Aviation background and aircraft interior experience preferred.
