Our client is seeking a Finance Analyst that will assist with data management of the current Venture Capital Funds. This position will have varying responsibilities and will report directly to the Finance Manager and Controller. The role will be a hybrid mix in Austin & the office will be a super cool space in which the team will share ideas & build upon team dynamics. What will the Finance Analyst do? Review, interpret and process various types of financing activity to ensure data is accurately captured in our systems Collaborate with the finance team and fund administrator to ensure data between accounting and cap table management systems are reconciled Ensure new portfolio company investments, deal terms and ownership data are processed accurately and timely into our database Assist with elements of a system implementation to ensure the integrity of data and reporting Assist with maintaining track record and investment performance data to support fund management and fundraising Perform financial analysis by collecting, organizing, analyzing, and explaining large data sets Assist with preparing materials in advance of valuation or internal meetings Design and implement automated data quality checks and processes Assist with investment financing process and information management Liaison with Investor Relations and Operations team Assist with Topic 820 valuation calculation and support collection Prepare responses to investor requests for information or other inquiries Manage records retention - organize, file and maintain fund''s investment and financial records Assist the finance team, as needed What we are looking for in the Finance Analyst: Bachelor''s degree in finance, business, economics or accounting Working knowledge of GAAP Excellent oral communications and presentation skills 3+ years of relevant experience (Big 4 public accounting/venture capital/partnerships), industry Advanced Excel & SQL or other data analytics & visualization tools a plus Basic knowledge in term sheets, cap tables, legal documents, and venture capital / private equity terms and concepts. Self-starter and entrepreneurially minded with a positive ''do anything'' attitude Well organized and detail oriented Flexible, team player with a great sense of humor
