Job Details Associate Engineer Cleveland-Cliffs currently has entry level opportunities available for current college students/recent college graduates to join our associate program. As recent graduates, engineering students joining Cleveland-Cliffs are given significant responsibilities right from the start and will have an opportunity to experience a wide range of challenges in various parts of the operation. Whether it is long-or short-range planning, operations, processing or reclamation, new hires can gain valuable exposure to different aspects of the steelmaking process. Responsibilities: Supervising a crew of hourly maintenance employees. Recommending and/or performing predictive, preventative and emergency maintenance of equipment; researching, designing, evaluating, installing, modernizing, re-designing, operating, maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment. Resolving equipment malfunctions, including those requiring scheduled shutdowns or breakdown action Planning, scheduling, and cost control of maintenance/engineering projects; reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. Analyzing current operating performance and standard operating procedures and making recommendations for improvement and various other duties as needed to support the business Minimum Requirements: Bachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology, Mechanical Engineering/Technology, Material Science Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an accredited college/university Graduation date between December 2020 and May 2022 GPA of 2.6 or greater Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
