Corporate Accounting AssociateHITT is looking for an experience Corporate Accounting Associate for our Fall Church location. This position will be responsible for various accounting, analysis/reconciliation and compliance tasks, reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager. Below are the attributes and competencies of qualified candidates:ResponsibilitiesHandle daily cash receipts reportTimely and accurate preparation of journal entries and other accounting analysis with required support to ensure accuracy and correct accounting interpretationBank ReconciliationsInvestigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely mannerAssist with annual financial audit workpapersAssist with annual FAR auditAssist with month end closePrepare over/Under Billing ReconciliationReconcile AR AgingReconcile Fixed AssetsPrepare Credit Card Fee AllocationComplete and distribute regular and ad-hoc financial reporting and analysisQualificationsBachelor of Science in Accounting and/or FinanceMinimum 1 to 2 years of accounting or operations experienceBasic knowledge and understanding of accounting and finance principles, including working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Exceptional analytical and communication skillsAttention to detail and ability to multi-task are critical to successMust be able to function as part of a team and adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, ever evolving environmentFamiliarity with or proven knowledge of Oracle ERP accounting systems or equivalentProficient in all Microsoft programs, especially ExcelHITT Contracting, Inc. is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
