JOB DESCRIPTIONResponsible for researching, developing, designing and implementing manufacturing equipment and systems. This position has the authority to perform the basic functions and responsibilities described and supported by the facility''s organizational chart.Specific Duties:Maintains updated Operator Description Sheets at all stations on the manufacturing floor.Creates Production Setup Procedures at all applicable equipment on the manufacturing floor.Determines preventative maintenance standards on new equipment.Conducts time studies to establish performance standards and line balancing requirements.Assists in managing all assembly processes relating to the manufacturing procedures.Plans, directs and records periodic preventative maintenance and analysis of all equipment.Maintains updated drawings and specifications on all equipment.Researches and implements cost effective upgrades to the equipment and facilities.Keeps abreast with the latest in control technology and safe work practices.Responsible for insuring that all assembly processes comply with BWI ergonomic standards.Recommends and initiates modifications of replacement of equipment that fail to meetPerforms other duties deemed necessary by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Initiates goals for the team to include Safety outcomes as determined by the plant leadership.Supports and enforces the Safety Plant RulesParticipates in the Joint Health, Safety, Ergonomic, Environmental and Kaizen pletes any audits as requested to support HSE along with participating in safety observation feedback pletes the SSS Training/Injury & Recordkeeping Training/Hazard Recognition training.Must be willing to report any unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, near misses or injuries to HSE.Supports the plants JCMS objectives and processes while achieving and maintaining the Safe Workplace and Environmental and Sustainability objectives.Supports any Blue Sky projects the plant has agreed upon.Education Required:Bachelor Level Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.Experience Required:Previous experience is desired, preferably in an automotive background.Must have a consistent employment record to include good attendance, and be capable of adapting to a participative work environment.PRIMARY LOCATIONBridgewater Interiors IVCOMPANY INFORMATIONAdient is a global leader in automotive seating.
