POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION: This is a highly visible position that will serve as an instrumental member within our client''s engineering department and will be a key contributor in driving industrial/process engineering activities and lean/continuous improvement initiatives. Our client is seeking an individual who is passionate about process improvement/manufacturing engineering and has high energy, a creative mind, and excellent communication skills (effective working with individuals at all levels). Functional Responsibilities:Lead Engineering discipline culture from Industrial/Process Engineering perspective: Statistical Start-Up MethodologyProcess Flow and Visual ManagementValue Stream MappingApply statistics and studies such as, Cpk, Gage R&R studiesProcess instructions & training documentationEquipment validation support such as Time Studies and Cost analysis (BOM & Routers)Line balance & optimizationKaizen and Continuous Improvement Prioritize Department opportunitiesImplement methods and line balance improvementsLead cross functional improvement initiativesDrive implementation of cost savings ideasTrain Production and Technical support on applicable equipment/processes documentationInvestigate and resolve Quality Non-ConformancesPerform time studies and manufacturing cell layout improvementsRecommend and implement layout improvements for better material flowSupport safety related improvements related to flow, WIP staging and reductionRequirements & Desired Qualifications:Bachelor''s Degree in Engineering, preferably in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Process EngineeringMinimum of 5 years of Industrial/Process/Manufacturing Engineering related experience is requiredExperience working with filling, blending, packaging, and/or automated equipment strongly preferredDemonstrated Continuous Improvement project experience as a leader and facilitatorExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalProficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PPTProject management experience - team facilitatorProblem solving experience or training (8D, Six Sigma, DOE, SPC)Lean manufacturing experience (Visual management, 5S, PDCA)Continuous Improvement experience in Manufacturing EnvironmentExperience in OTC or FDA/regulated controlled environment preferred, but not requiredDemonstrated proficiency using CAD software (AutoCad / Solid Works) highly desirable* Please note all resumes and candidate information submitted are kept in the strictest confidence.
