With Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska, you''ll serve the over 50 rural communities in the Yukon Delta Region who come to us for care. Serving the people of Southwestern Alaska, the Yukon-Kuskokwim Hospital is a 50-bed general acute care medical facility. Fully accredited by JCAHO, services include adult med/surg, pediatrics, obstetrics, emergency room, as well as outpatient family medicine clinics, pharmacy, lab, and imaging. Position Summary: Primarily responsible for the implementation of the Methamphetamine Suicide Prevention Initiative (MSPI) Grant in communities throughout the region. Facilitates planning, organizes community gatherings, coordinates Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), collaborates with Village Tribal Councils, BH Staff, Schools and other social service agencies and completes required reports related to the project. Position Qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D and RHS certification preferred or BA in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or related field. Three years supervised experience working with children and families performed at a satisfactory level. Ability to work cooperatively with agencies and promote wellness in communities. Experience in cross-cultural settings required preferable with Native Alaskan cultures. Advanced levels of education may be substituted for experience. Yup''ik/English speaker preferred.
