As a Manager, Finance, you will partner with the global finance organization in executing process enhancements to streamline the monthly close and requisite reporting/analytics that are required by the finance leadership team. What you''ll do on a typical day:Support the external financial reporting process including Form 10-K and 10-Q and provide technical guidance to colleagues.Oversee financial chart of accounts - including maintenance of metadata, hierarchies, and mappings between systemsResponsible for optimizing financial reporting systems (including Oracle, HFM and other financial systems) Lead various accounting and reporting process improvement initiatives and system enhancements to improve efficiency, including user testing for proposed system changesComplete and maintain process documentation to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance for areas of responsibilityAudit and ensure data integrity of information between various accounting & financial systems Serve as a trusted business resource to the Corporate Accounting and Finance group, with an ability to troubleshoot general ledger and consolidation issues Work collaboratively with other peers and support other groups within the Controllership organizationEffectively assess existing functions and processes, drive efficiencies through improvements, and use knowledge and experience to develop innovative automated solutionsUndertake and manage special projects and other reporting needs as requiredWhat you need to succeed at XPO:At a minimum, you''ll need:Bachelor''s degree in Finance or Accounting5 years of related experience Experience with enterprise level general ledger and reporting systems (Hyperion Financial Management)Solid understanding of the financial consolidation process and GAAP reportingProficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to create complex formulas in ExcelIt''d be great if you also have:Experience with enterprise level general ledger and reporting systems (Oracle, EDM and FCCS)Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audienceHighly organized, detail oriented, have a sound work ethic and be comfortable working in a fast paced, demanding environmentEffective problem solving skills with ability to think creatively -identify, analyze and propose solutions to various issuesSelf-motivated with thoughtful execution skills and able to work unsupervised.
