Bilingual Staff-level Psychologist

A federally qualified health center (FQHC) in New York City is currently seeking a Spanish-speaking Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Clinical Psychologist to join their staff as their new Bilingual Staff-level Psychologist. In this role, the Bilingual Staff-level Psychologist will be responsible for providing mental health counseling for patients its Behavioral Health Program. Responsibilities: The Bilingual Staff-level Psychologist: Performs mental health assessments for patients to ascertain their diagnoses and establish treatment plans Provides individual and group counseling and psychotherapy Provides crisis intervention and/or counseling to diffuse conflicts among patients Completes medical forms and documentation related to patient care Makes and/or tracks all referrals to other mental health agencies and providers Works collaboratively with Specialists for consultation and referral purposes Maintains confidential case files, including documenting requests for confidential information Provides workshops for families on communication and other family-related issues Maintains ultimate responsibility for directing the course of the patient''s mental health care and treatment plan Encourages health promotion, disease prevention, and health maintenance Participates in case-conference and case management activities Performs other duties, as needed Qualifications: Valid, unrestricted NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or licensed Psychologist license Bilingual (English and Spanish) Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records systems Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills Patient oriented Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (Written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized Desired Skills: Prior experience with Substance Abuse issues Working knowledge of eClinicalWorks
