Preschool SLP

An education system in New York City is currently seeking a new, licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a promising opportunity at one of their preschools in Queens. Responsibilities: The Preschool SLP will: Prepare engaging exercises and activities to use during speech sessions with patients Provide counseling and consultations for new patients Create goals and objectives for patients to work toward and identify areas of progress and challenges Oversee speech-language pathologist assistants and support their full-scope understanding of how to manage an office Prepare speech pathology equipment and exam room ensuring proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed Review the patient''s file prior to their appointment and have a clear understanding of the challenge to be addressed Attend continuing education courses and work to advance personal knowledge and experience within the field Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: 1+ year of Speech Language Pathology experience Bachelor''s and/or Master''s Degree NYS Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills Patient oriented Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized Desired Skills Experience working with the Pediatric population
