General Helper (Swing Shift)

Alpha Baking Company operates three (3) shifts around the clock 365 days per year. We cannot guarantee that any employee is permanently assigned to a particular shift or that any employee is guaranteed specific or the same days off each week. Additionally, this position requires work of a physical nature in a work environment that is subject to very hot and very cold conditions.Location: 5001 W. Polk St. Chicago, IL 60644 Duties and Responsibilities:Load the ovenFill bakery racks with bread/bun pansPhysically move bread/buns racks in and out of proof boxLoad and unload empty pans both on and off conveyorOther duties as assignedRequirementsRequirements:Must be able to work weekends and holidaysMust be able to work effectively in a team environmentCapable of following safe work practicesCapable of working in a fast paced environment.Must be able to pass post offer drug/alcohol screenMust be able to walk/stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift/carry bread/bun pans - up to 50 lbsCapable of performing repetitive workMust be able to tolerate working in a hot humid environment
