PI System Administrator (Operations)Position Summary Under general oversight, this position will serve as liaison between Operations, Information Technology (IT) and Operations Analytics groups to design, enhance, implement, maintain, support and troubleshoot PI Systems including reporting and analysis solutions. Work with engineers, developers and analysts across multiple operations groups to gather specifications for improvement to existing time-series technologies, processes and tools. Propose, design and utilize visualizations and analytics. Work closely with field and corporate stakeholders to address and propose value-add opportunities to leverage and utilize corporate and operational data.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for software development in PI Asset Framework System Explorer, PI Vision and other visualization tools, like Spotfire, SSRS and Power BI.Ability to interface with Cygnet SCADA Analyst to implement and troubleshoot PI Connectors to the Cygnet system and other time-series data sources.Responsible for PI Suite configuration, testing, tuning, monitoring and maintenance in combination with IT resources, as applicable.Utilize oil and gas knowledge of Safety, Drilling, Completions and Production Operations to interface with operations engineers, health and safety, and other disciplines to gather operational goals and requirements and implement value-add solutions.Coordinate and document prioritization of time-series PI projects, generate value and return on investment (ROI) analysis of value cases.Develop system models and templates, dashboards and reports, and assist in validation of results.Provide subject matter expert guidance and direction to operations groups for data interfaces, and issues and questions related to applicable time-series data streams.Develop, test, and deploy custom coding and formula solutions in the time-series operational application software, reporting and analyses.Programmatically develop, prepare and maintain digital twins for anomaly identification or machine learning itiate process change, work closely with inter-company department leaders to add and improve value-add processes, streamline existing systems and dataflow. Collaborate and lead discussions with Finance, Planning, IT and other departments to identify, extract and analyze operational data for various operational metrics and decisions including budgets, costs, revenue, and performance. Responsibilities include development of KPI''s and performance lookback tools.Identify gaps in systems and procedures related to data integrations, and propose new solutions. Provide input and investigate applicable emerging leading edge technologies including integration and visualization tools, advanced techniques such as predictive and prescriptive analytics, and cloud based solutions and strategy.Perform assessments and analysis of solutions, which include level of effort, system impacts, risks, and dependencies.Other Duties and Responsibilities Drive the Operations Analytics team toward digital platforms and solutions, which will assist in decision-making and collection of data.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications Required Education, Experience, Licensure Bachelor''s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related Business field.More than three (3) years of Oil & Gas, SCADA or time-series data experience. Experience working closely with multiple technical disciplines.Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure More than five (5) years of Analysis, Business Analyst, Engineering or Computer Engineering experience.More than three (3) years of OSI PI experience.Experience working with Python or equivalent, Spotfire and similar visualization systems and tools. Production, Drilling, Completion or Reservoir well analysis experience.Required Core Competencies - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of visualization software, and integration programming or applications.Knowledge of database design and familiarity with query design and execution. Knowledge of oilfield equipment and terminology. Understand and query business systems tables.Demonstrate strong overall business and financial acumen including well developed analytical and decision-making skills. Able to work independently with minimal guidance and exercise good judgment when completing the tasks. Excellent presentation skills and verbal and written communication skills. Work closely with multi-disciplines in identifying and implementing new processes.Ability to implement continuous improvement methods and processes.Able to resolve miscommunication or conflict, handle feedback, and integrate ideas across different departments.Supervisory Responsibilities This position is an individual contributor with no direct supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
