Location: Denver, ColoradoPosition SummaryResponsible for supervising the daily activities of the System Administrators and Collaboration Administrators. Ensure that the servers, storage, Active Directory, and email systems are properly maintained, supported, and available through the efforts of the team. Ensure that the architecture and operation of the Collaboration systems are best suited to Company''s business needs.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise and prioritize the daily work of the System Administrators to ensure that the servers, storage, Active Directory, and email systems are available and functioning efficiently.Supervise and prioritize the daily work of the Collaboration Administrator to ensure that the phone systems, unified communications, audio and video conferencing systems, and conference room equipment is all available and functioning efficiently.Ensure that incidents and requests related to System and Collaboration administration beyond the purview of the Help Desk are resolved quickly and efficiently by the staff, and escalated appropriately to vendors or external support when necessary. Manage those escalations so that outstanding issues do not linger.Ensure that the servers, storage, Active Directory, and email systems are properly configured, secure, licensed, and upgraded as appropriate.Ensure that staff understands and properly executes internal controls, including SOX controls, as well as provide required documentation.Supervise vendor management by the team from the technical perspective.Ensure the team work closely with the Applications team, Helpdesk, Security & Compliance, and other Infrastructure team members to provide the best possible application delivery and support to the end user community. Resolve issues between groups that might dilute the effectiveness of any person''s work.Plan work assignments, evaluate performance, and provide feedback, training, and guidance to the team. Collaborate with IT leadership to write and administer performance reviews, and provide input related to development.Other Duties and Responsibilities Weekly on-call rotation and responsibilities during off-hours for some projects may be necessary.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications Required Education, Experience, LicensureBachelor''s degree in Computer Science or related field of study.At least four (4) years of direct experience maintaining server, storage, Active Directory, and Exchange email systems.Preferred Education, Experience, LicensureAt least four (4) years of experience with architecting and operating collaboration systems, including phone systems, unified communications, and audio/video conferencing.Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory role leading, developing, and mentoring technical personnel.Required Core Competencies - Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to communicate clearly with all levels, from staff to executive, in verbal and written form with both non-technical users and with technical IT functions and vendor teams.Understand software and hardware roadmaps and understand the impacts, positive or negative of implementing changes.Understand the infrastructure architecture and how the applications interact with plex understanding of computer equipment and peripherals.Advanced understanding of server, storage, telecommunications, and collaboration equipment.Ability to resolve workflow and personnel issues.Ability to mentor staff to evaluate issues and drive to the most appropriate resolution.Ability to teach applications from both technical support and users'' viewpoint.Analytical skills, identify significant problems and opportunities, analyze problems in depth, relate and compare data from different sources. Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis role will have supervisory responsibilities over the System Administration and Collaboration Administration teams.Responsible for regularly making decisions and/or recommendations concerning: Interviewing, hiring, and training; Plan, assign, and direct the work; Appraise productivity and efficiency; Recommend advancement, promotions, or other changes in status; Handle complaints, grievances and disciplinary issues.Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and communication systems. Physical DemandsOccasional field location visits may present more strenuous exertion than office work, like walking around a field location and interacting with the user community located there. Occasional lifting and management of heavy equipment in racks related to Data Center activities.Travel RequirementsMinimal travel may be required to other office and data center locations.
