As a vital member of our team, you''ll be recognized as an industry leader and expert within Jacobs and work on challenging maritime infrastructure and coastal resilience programs where your expertise will be utilized to proactively identify and solve the most complex challenges facing our coastal communities. At Jacobs you''ll be instrumental in the growth and development of our coastal resilience business strategy and contribute immediately to our Ports & Resilience Team in the Tidewater area. We''ll ask you to leverage your expertise and develop our team to help us build our skills, knowledge and resources to enable us to win and deliver complex results. Your client and industry relationships will also be leveraged to help us win new work and position for upcoming opportunities. Working together, we''ll help you grow and pursue what fulfills you so that we can make impacts on the future - big and small, global and local. • Progressive experience in the maritime sector, with a minimum of 20 years of direct professional experience leading engineering and construction projects. • Proven experience in operational improvement and organizational growth. • Seller-doer mentality and ability to seamlessly work on project delivery, internal growth strategy, and proposal development. • Good understanding of the maritime industry in the Tidewater region, with a focus on coastal resilience, harbor navigation, and offshore wind development. • Ability to market and sell our services to internal and external clients. • Leadership skills and the ability to identify suitable candidates to help grow our Mid-Atlantic Ports & Resilience practice. Ideally, You''ll Also Have: • Professional Engineering License in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or ability to obtain licensure within 3-6 months). • Relationships with Tidewater municipalities, regulators, and stakeholders involved in maritime infrastructure development and coastal resiliency. • Deep knowledge of and experience with environmental permitting in the Tidewater region. • Good working knowledge of and experience with the federal agencies typically involved with maritime infrastructure projects in the Tidewater region and throughout the US (US Coast Guard, US Army Corps of Engineers, US Fish and Wildlife Service, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Fisheries, Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Defense, Federal Aviation Administration, etc.) • General understanding of the consultation and permitting requirements for state waters and onshore impacts Your most impactful mission in this role is to embrace living inclusion every day and enabling diversity and equality globally.
