Job Description

We are currently seeking two Senior Wireless Technicians to join our client''s team in the Minneapolis market! The Senior Wireless Technician performs a wide variety of field activities associated with installing, maintaining, and servicing equipment in the field. Install, maintain, test, repair, remove or retrofit various wireless systems including indoor distributed antenna systems (IDAS) and outdoor distributed antenna systems (ODAS)Read blueprints and construction drawingsDetermine and pull best path routesAdhere to coax fiber, and power installation standardsPPC compression tool kit installationInstallation of antennas including rooftop, racks, and remote unitsDAS and small cell OEM installationLabel coax cables, antennas and head end rackPerform cable sweeps using spectrum analyzers for return loss, insertion loss, and distance to fault testingPerform PIM testing and mitigation on cellular equipmentFusion splice fiber modes and connectorsUse OTDR for fiber reports and troubleshoot linksTesting and Integration of Wireless systems not limited to IN building, small-cell, macro.Rack and stack equipment in heads and remote locationsAssists Engineers with tests and/or analysis of installed equipmentPerforms in-process and final quality inspectionsRequirements Ability to travel regionally in MN for 60% of the timeAbility to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.Ability to work outdoors, on ladders, and in confined spacesAbility to work remotely at construction or installation sitesAbility to work in indoor and outdoor environmentsHigh School Diploma or GED, required2+ years of RF Field technician experience2+ yrs of wireless experienceExperience reading blueprints or construction drawingsAbility to work with hand and power tools, as well as working knowledge of PPC compression tool and various RF test equipmentRequires strong technical knowledge of current wireless Network products with minimal training performed and recorded on Safety, Business Code of Conduct and Quality assuranceFormal ''Basic Installation'' training course is required (or equivalent on the job training)Ability to read and understand IBwave drawings and documentation as well as Red line the final as-builts.Mastery of the phases of the product installationConducts work assignments, communicates, addresses and assists customers in a professional mannerAbility to work independently while maintaining regular and timely communication with management regarding activitiesExecutes the essential duties and responsibilities to meet timelines
