Assignments may include but are not limited to, collecting business requirements, designing and developing study databases and clinical data applications, creating data models, conducting code review, and reviewing/writing of technical documentation. WHAT YOU''LL DOBuilding/customizing Clinical Trial Management ApplicationsBuilding clinical trial databases using Oracle Clinical or equivalent preferredIntegrating software with enterprise level systemsMaintaining and supporting current/legacy applications by updating or re-designing databases, enhancing functionalities, and creating ad-hoc queries/reportsAbility to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environmentAbility to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environmentAbility to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organizationMultitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely mannerStrong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU''LL BRINGRequiredBachelor Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar degree, or equivalent combination of education and work experience3 years of development experience with ASP.NET3 years of database modeling/design experience using SQL Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) phases and Rapid Development FrameworksExperience with software development design patterns and methodologies including OOAD and MVCExperience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular.js or Knockout, and/or Web APIFundamental understanding of servers, networking, security and storageA working familiarity with Microsoft office products including Word, Excel, and AccessExperience with Unix/Linux (*NIX) platforms PreferredBasic understanding of Clinical Trial Management ProcessBasic understanding of human physiology or any prior involvement with medical fieldExperience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit modelWHAT WE OFFER At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
