Job Description

We are recruiting for a Project Manager to support the USDA customer standing up a new program initiative. Qualified candidates should have experience with Change Management and Communications. Prior experience with the USDA organizational structure is preferred. Location Note: This position will provide telework support from a Washington DC Metro based location during pandemic health restrictions and support on-site work in the future. Responsibilities include supporting program initiatives and meeting objectives of the USDA''s Equity Commission and supporting Committees through development and implementation of project plans and associated activities. Requirements include: U.S. citizenship Current Public Trust or ability to pass a background investigation 10+ years of related management experience including experience supporting USDA and/or related programs including work with multi-cultural communications and/or equity-focused programs Bachelor''s degree in a related discipline; advanced degree is a plus PMP certification is preferred Prosci Change Management Certification is preferred Experience supporting organizational transformation and diversity initiatives including experience in areas addressing social justice, systems inequity, agriculture inequity, racial inequity, and food insecurity Familiarity with the USDA''s authorities, programs, customers, and organization is a plus Experience with quality product development including compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act Knowledge and experience with diversity, equity and inclusion, organizational management, consulting and change management Ability to support highly detailed work with attention to detail Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment supporting projects/tasks across the organization, as assigned Ability to manage independent work as well as collaborative team assignments Proficiency working across MS Office Suite Experience with graphic design and developing materials meeting Section 508 compliance; experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Effective written and verbal communication skills to work with a blended team of government and contractor staff and interact at multiple staff levels Availability to return to support on-site work, if requested, after pandemic restrictions are lifted CJ CB *MON
