Summary of RoleThe ServicePLUS Process Engineer is responsible for the design and development of optimal engineering solutions for cost-effective assembly or processes. This includes processes, tools, systems and work instructions. Oversees the development and use of conversion of equipment used in assembly or product conversion. Perform validation activities as necessary in a manufacturing environment. Recommends improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Supports and may manage manufacturing launch for new or revised products.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesAnalyzes assembly and conversion requirements and translates these into manufacturing processes to establish production rates, achieve expected quality levels and establish reliability of finished productDevelops manufacturing methods for new and existing products, establishes labor standards and develops labor and product cost informationPerforms validation activities as necessaryEngaged in research and development for equipment, processes, procedures and systems integrationMeticulously documents all assembly or product conversion process information and sequences within the document control systemCreates BOM''s and routers in JDE ERP for assembly and conversion processesIdentifies opportunities for improvement to existing processes and methods using data or observation, develops the improvements and implements them as quickly as practicalMakes improvements to production rates and reduces scrap by identifying and implementing new and better equipment, processes or human factor methodsAssists production in troubleshooting production problems with individual components, individual processes and help improve the situation to assure customer delivery dates and superior qualityReviews production schedules and engineering specifications to resolve production problems.Participates in determination of product DMR disposition plan and approvalSupports the implementation of IATF 16949:2016Follows the Quality Management System protocols including ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016Execution of DOE''s, problem solving, engineering studies, OQ/PQ validations, and continuation engineering for productsEducation and ExperienceRequired:Bachelor''s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environmentDesired:Experience working within ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016Lean Sigma Green or Black Belt certificationExperience utilizing Oscillating knife cutter and die cutting equipmentCompetenciesAbility to communicate clearly by conveying and receiving ideas, information and direction effectivelyAbility to challenge oneself to consistently meet all goals and deadlinesCustomer service focusedContinuous Improvement MindsetExperience in using CAD softwareJDE experience preferredProficient in MS applications - especially Excel, Outlook & WordTechnical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly, resource management, systems integration and production equipment principles and applicationAbility to work with the team to scope, build, finish, test and qualify equipment to be used in assembly work including automation equipmentUse of statistical analysis softwareAbility to operate calipers, micrometers and other measuring toolsOrganized and methodicalInterpersonal skills and good communication techniqueAbility to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines, manage and identify scopeAct as a project leader on major process change projectProficient in use of problem solving tools such as 5 why, Fishbone, 8D, etc.Travel - 25%ApplicationLast Application: 2022-01-15Apply HerePlease right-click the link to open a new tab.
