This person will conduct reviews and analysis of the applicable insurance programs with the current and expected future risks that each of our operations might experience. The position maintains effective relationships with the Company''s insurance brokers and underwriters to ensure risk exposures are identified and appropriately mitigated with our insurance program, and that we supply the appropriate data to accurately identify our various activities across the organization. Provides oversight to the insurer annual audit. Our current property, casualty, cyber and executive risk insurance programs. The position is responsible for the management of our insurance programs to ensure that the maximum risk transfer for each business unit in the most cost effective manner. The Manager will build cross functional relationships with stakeholders and act as the lead technical and implementation advisor and as an advocate for issues resolution with brokers and internal stakeholders. The position assists with claims management and coordinates with the Legal Department on large losses to ensure timely notification to insurance carriers and timely claim reimbursement from insurers, where appropriate. Applies knowledge of risk management principles and data analytics to provide reports on insurance coverages, limits and premiums. Provides status updates to management on financial and regulatory issues. This position may assist with managing the operations of United Valley Insurance Company (UGI Captive insurance company). They will assist with a review of the feasibility of coverages that could be underwritten by United Valley. This position monitor the broker issued certificates of insurance and surety bonds required by business units. They will review contractual insurance provisions for contracts that we let as well as those we enter into. Job Responsibilities: Underwriting • Gathers and evaluates exposure information for all insurance coverages • Prepares reporting for presentation related to business segment for underwriter presentations. • Interacts with Business Unit and Broker to complete and submit applications to the underwriters in a timely manner • Coordinates with Director of Risk and Corporate Insurance and Broker to perform risk assessment and determine appropriate limits and retentions. • Prepares formal underwriting overview to the US, London and Bermuda markets, as needed, • Negotiates policy terms and pricing with the Director of Risk and Corporate Insurance • Reviews insurance policies to ensure they conform to negotiated coverage • Maintains policy records according to records retention policy • Maintains insurance schedule with updated policy and premium information Contract Review • Reviews and evaluates all insurance language in leases and contracts for services rendered to us, to ensure appropriate risk transfer and protection for the company • Evaluates insurance requirements in agreements for goods and services that we will be providing to others to ensure that the company can comply with all insurance requirements Claims Administration • Supports Legal in the management of property and casualty claims • Assures timely submission of claims to the carrier • Manages receipt of insurance proceeds Surety Bonds • Work with field and Surety Broker to expedite and execute bonds for the company • Monitors expiring bonds to determine renewal or cancellation status • Processes business segment surety invoices Internal Consulting • Builds cross functional relationships with stakeholders, and provides advice and guidance on risk management and insurance needs for the company • Responds to inquiries of insurance coverage and claims handling process Administration/Other • Assists with generating reports for senior management utilizing Excel, Power Point, Riskonnect and Word • Prepares reporting for presentation to Management including the Board of Directors • Oversees the Certificate of Insurance program for the business unit and provides assistance with non-standard certificates of insurance • Oversees vehicle ID card program • Participates in the management of the United Valley Insurance Company (UGI Captive) • Assists Director of Corporate Insurance with due diligence activities as needed • Updates Department Portal to communicate Company programs and support field operations • Maintains internal procedures manual • Provides ad-hoc reporting and technical research as needed • Other duties as assigned Finance and Budgeting • Supports the Director of Risk and Corporate Insurance in the compilation and administration of the Department budgets and communication to the businesses • Performs corporate insurance accounting functions which include wrap-up reviews summarizing renewal costs, tracking and allocating program premiums and fees amongst the eight business entities • Allocates insurance premiums per insurer and broker recommendations insuring equitable internal distribution of premium based on defined exposures • Provide each entity''s accounting group internal billing detail to assure proper period reporting Risk Management Information System • Maintains information in the Riskonnect Risk Management System to support insurance operations • Acts as Administrator of the system • Subject matter expert on key system responsibilities including building custom page layouts, formula fields, workflow rules, sharing rules and validation rules. Will be responsible for external data loads • Applies knowledge of risk management principles and data analytics to prepare management reports Job Requirements: Bachelor''s Degree in Risk Management, Finance/Accounting or Business. A professional designation such as - Associate of Risk Management (ARM) or Certified Property and Casualty Underwriter. Min of 8 plus years experience in risk and corporate insurance Broad knowledge of risk management, insurance policies and underwriting, claims management, accounting practices and insurance company operations. Previous experiences with a RMIS preferred. Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Required.
