Join our team and see why we have been named a "Best-In-State" credit union, four years in a row!Location: 971 W Wetmore RoadSalary Range: $22.00/hour to $30.00/hourJob Summary:Assist in supporting all IT supported systems, desktop applications and services; install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain PC and Mac computer hardware, software, peripherals and related equipment. Responsible for providing a high level of end-user support in responding to questions and diagnosing and resolving problems within their level of expertise. Maintain assigned systems and provide problem resolution and technical support services with high reliability and a minimum of supervision and direction.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Installs, sets up, relocates, configures, customizes, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, recycles and supports PC and other computer hardware and software and peripherals; installs hardware, software, and memory upgrades; maintains driver updates on all peripheral devices; creates and deploys images for computers; installs, tests and configures applications and new software functionalities.Serves as secondary point of contact and receives, documents and coordinates problems reported to the IT helpdesk; troubleshoots, diagnoses and resolves second-level hardware, software and peripheral problems and creates IT trouble tickets in the system for assignment to the next technician available for a site visit; refers more complex problems to senior staff for resolution or coordinates repairs with vendors;; advises and assists users with technical issues related to computer hardware, software and peripherals.Receives, documents, diagnoses and resolves user problems and requests for technical assistance from customers on computers, peripheral equipment, local and wide area networks, Internet and Intranet services, various server platform connections and remote accessProvides support for Help Desk technicians quickly and efficiently. Creates materials for end-user frequently asked questions (FAQs).Oversees the maintenance of hardware and software at the company''s disaster recovery site and provides technical support for disaster recovery testing.ExpectationsTo assure prompt response to and recovery from systems, security, and computer (PC) related production interruptions across multiple hardware platforms, networks and operating systems.To identify opportunities to improve services to the company and/or its customers through use ofnew products and technologies.To anticipate system and network security/integrity risks and assure adequate safeguards.To assist the department in achieving an internal service survey score of 4.25 or greater.Meet assigned service standards.Knowledge and Skills:Experience:Minimum of 3 years of IT Systems support or related experience.Understanding of IT Systems, configurations, best practices and methodologies and their executionExperience in the installation, configuration and maintenance of at least one of the following systems required: Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, Unix/Linux/Mac, Messaging/collaboration hardware/software, storage hardware/software including SAN technologies, Cloud technologies, VPN management, VMWare (hypervisor/virtualization) technologies, enterprise management/monitoring tools and voice/data networking, best practices and methodologies and their executionEducation:High School or GED minimum, IT systems training preferred.Post secondary degree or certification encouraged Interpersonal Skills:A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others.
