If you are looking for a rewarding career, and in a highly-collaborative, fast-paced, fully-empowered environment, Callon is where you belong.About the roleYou will become a contributing member of an asset team consisting of reservoir engineers, completion engineers, geophysicists and petrophysicists. The primary goal of this position is to effectively plan and execute a portion of the drilling and development program, developing the company''s existing and potential horizontal assets. Qualified candidates will be current on all applicable technologies, including computer-based geological applications and interpretation suites, and will be able to handle a high volume of data. Candidate must be self-motivated and possess ability to work in a team environment with drilling, land, regulatory, and engineering personnel to take projects and prospects from concept through terpret and evaluate subsurface geologic data to construct integrated maps, cross sections, and other geologic displays defining subsurface structure & reservoir geometries. Develop detailed field level mapping, for reservoir and landing correlations using a multi-disciplinary team approach in addition to regional, multi-county stratigraphic framework and subsurface correlationsPrepare well plans, providing geologic operations support during drilling, and conduct after action reviews with the other members and disciplines of the teamPlan and execute well placement with a working knowledge of geosteering techniques and coordinating with the drilling engineers during drilling operationsSelect and collaborate with vendors, and coordinate their workUtilize geoscience workstation software for mapping structure, reservoir properties and facies, producing well log correlations, and cross-sections. These interpretations will incorporate completion and production data. Experience with Geographix preferredCollect and integrate data including log, seismic, rock property, well performance and land data to build an understanding of basin history, resource assessment, and develop play analysisWork within teams to generate development plans for multiple unconventional resource opportunitiesCommunicate and interact daily with geophysicists, reservoir, completion, and drilling engineers providing interpreted well logs, cross-sections, and subsurface mapsCoordinate and supervise on-site open-hole well-site geologic evaluations. Including open-hole well logging, coring, mud loggingConduct studies to identify and quantify trends in performance.
