APPLICATION MANAGER Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Application Manager for a contract position in Cincinnati, OH. Opportunity will be eight months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Leads the strategy and ADM work for his/her platform portfolio, sets standards and best practices (design, code, and tools) Establishes the right design, leads the engineering work, owns change management, and escalation point for operations Evaluates, recommends, and manages key applications to maximize ROI for Client on its technology investments Owner for his/her portfolio of toolsets, knowledge documents, and other components Updates the documentary repository (MEGA) and maintains complete documentation of application portfolio under his/her ownership Manages application transition from implementation to production support and does activities such as preparing detailed transition plan, establish sign-off criteria, ensuring complete application documentation etc. Leads rigorous technology assessment along with technical architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to develop business case in favor of a particular application portfolio Has an excellent sense of IT application portfolio impact and can converse equally well with technical and non-technical audience Demonstrates potential value realization in terms of TCO savings, user experience improvement etc. for implementing/decommissioning an application / a portfolio of applications Leads discussions with vendors, architecture, management, technical, and functional teams to lead overall service strategy Ensures compliance to information security standards by working closely with information architect and security teams Ensures the operational upkeep of the application portfolio and its components Specific responsibilities include: - Own and support current applications Manage the development and rollout of system enhancements and new functionality. Perform and manage the technical development of key components. The role has global responsibilities, serving Global key customers/managing issues for several regions; therefore, this resource must stay in touch with Service Management and Operations. This includes owning and driving adoption of Application & Integration best practices during application lifecycle (ALM), e.g. managing, implementing and governing continuous Improvements, project driven changes/configuration, self-initiated improvements that will deliver business value. Use the Agile philosophy/ Scrum methodology where applicable. It is required to develop hands-on expertise and build capability on the organization, develop technical and business mastery on AR domain, and recognize the opportunities for innovation. SAP, FI and SD experience functional resourceQualifications: Should be aware of basic information security awareness protocols, software security in the SDLC lifecycle, and OWASP Top 10 concepts Bachelors B.E./ B.Tech / BCA; Masters M.Tech / MCA; Computer Science specialization highly desirable Technical mastery: DEVELOP TECHNICAL MASTERY, the candidate should have strong technical skills and the ability to quickly develop mastery in emerging technologies. The candidate should demonstrate knowledge of industry best-practice in design and implementation of complex IT projects. Hands-on troubleshooting across a complex IT landscape and manage changes following Wave Management and SOLMAN. Knowledge/background in any of the following would be considered beneficial: - SAP (OSB, AR, FSCM) - APIs Webservices, AS2, SFTP, etc - -Azure - Robotic Process Automation - HTML, Java, J2EE, Oracle, SQL - - Jira, GitHub - Process orchestration - Axway (B2Bi , MFT) - Problem solving: DEEP PROBLEM ANALYSIS AND SOLVING, issue understanding/prioritization following business impact, including root cause analysis to preserve solution health and avoid issues reoccurrence. Application Lifecycle Management - Experience in managing solutions through the application lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and improvement. Stewardship and Security - Accountable for making sure the application is always audit ready, responsible of the IT audit score, the IT AR compliance, the IT architecture resiliency of the application. CSAs are completed & issues closed on time, ensure systems/applications disaster recovery plan in place and tested Mega, iRisk compliance.
