Overview Summary: Strata Solar Services (SSS) is the fourth-largest third-party Solar PV Operations & Maintenance provider in the United States and continues to grow. The Director of Business Operations will play the critical role in helping SSS transform through its growth stages and serve as the bridge between the company´s operational and financial performance. A successful candidate will be familiar with the solar industry and have expertise in financial and operational reporting, business process improvement, managing teams, coordinating work across a wide swath of stakeholders, and collaborating with peers and partners across the business. The Director of Business Operations will also serve as a key strategic partner in helping determine the Company´s growth and offering as the industry matures. To be a good fit for this role, you should be able to demonstrate intrinsic initiative and industry, proven business judgement, a results-driven orientation, and ability to communicate effectively with executive audiences. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Establish and report on key operational and financial metrics, including monthly P&L reporting and forecasting, weekly customer contract compliance metrics, weekly ticket quality and weekly ticket performance. Lead the annual budget process for the O&M division working closely with cost center owners, division leadership and Finance. Support SVP of O&M in specific initiatives and ongoing management of P&L through operational practices including month-end close activities. Establish or revise and implement business process improvements, including re-designing processes, identifying required tools, ensuring effective implementation of processes, documenting SOPs, and tracking outcomes. Support SVP of O&M with SSS strategy and communications, including strategy development, competitive benchmarking, and preparation of executive or division-wide communications. Special projects, such as data analysis, new technology pilots, document management, systems implementation, training, developing new service offerings, etc. Support peers in ongoing operations, as needed. Other projects & responsibilities in support of the company´s continued growth, improvement, and success. Qualifications Supervisory Responsibilities: Managing a team of 5-7 associates Demonstrate leadership within SSS to further owners´ long-term vision and objectives. Manage day-to-day activities for team of employees. Obtain and provide routine feedback to direct employees. Conduct routine performance evaluations and continuously provide coaching to improve performance. Make personnel decisions as needed, including interviewing and hiring. Education and/or Work Requirements: Bachelor´s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. MBA is preferred. 5-10 years´ work experience including budget management, people management, and the solar industry. Strong understanding of the interplay between general ledger accounts & financial statements. Expertise with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, broad stakeholder and executive communication.
