Jacobs has an opportunity for a Transmission Welding Technician in the Livonia Test Labs. THIS POSITION HAS A $750 SIGNING BONUS Duties and responsibilities include: Setting up components for welding according to specifications. Preparing catalytic converters for testing. Installation of transmissions and transmission components into various test rigs. Fabricate brackets, mounts and fixtures for test set up. Work with requesters to meet all testing requirements using written and verbal methods of communication. MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma Have an understanding of engine and drivetrain components and their functions. Computer experience Welding skills (primarily TIG) Desired: Associate in Automotive Technology or related field of study Engine or transmission related testing This position is full-time. This is NOT a contract position.
