Review customer orders/ contracts and assess appropriate revenue recognition/ accounting. Prepare revenue, deferred revenue and other revenue related journal entries and reconciliations. Research, resolve, and analyze complex revenue recognition issues. Assist in the implementation of new revenue recognition standard (ASC 606). Serve as primary liaison with internal and external auditors for revenue areas including discussions around technical revenue recognition and internal control matters. Work cross-functionally throughout the company in relation to all revenue accounting issues Reconcile or review various other general ledger accounts on a monthly basis, prepare journal entries and assist with other closing activities as required. Streamline existing accounting/finance procedures and recommend value-added changes. Assist with automating business processes and implementing new tools as needed to manage revenue transactions Manage direct report, provide training, and support employee career development goals. Assist with ad-hoc special projects Responsibilities may differ slightly from the above based on specific needs of the business.Requirements: BA/BS degree in Accounting, CPA 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
