Market Place Attendant (Barista)

By adhering to Welk Resorts'' I-Serve service standards, the Market Place Attendant will perform check out duties for customers and receive cash and credit cards. Attendant will also prepare and cook food for guests, provide customers with pertinent information and support in a professional and gracious manner.AVAILABILITY: 7:30am - 8:30pm (Sun. - Thurs.) and 7:30am - 10:30pm (Fri. -Sat.)Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):Take orders and make coffee, tea, and other drinks to customer specifications.Brew coffee and refill the coffee pots according to SOP.Receive cash and credit cards; or make room charges for guests.Verify money amounts and issue receipts for funds received.Receive merchandise and food/operation supplies.Follow all sanitation and safety regulations.Assist with pricing and stocking of merchandise.Bag groceries and perform routine dusting of all merchandise and rotates all stocks.Perform light cleaning and maintain a clean and orderly work area.Close out the register at the end of the shift and complete the appropriate closing paperwork.Perform cash drops in accordance with company policy.Take part in month-end inventory.Employee required to work inside walk in cooler running under 41 degrees to stock beverage item and food supplies regularly.All other duties as assigned.Education and/or Experience:Must have High School diploma or equivalent (GED); or the ideal candidate will have at least (1) one year of experience in a field related to this position.Must be available to work nights weekends holidays Must be 18 Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to make decisions that are in the best interests of the company. Ability to be flexible and easily adapt to change.
