Pharmacist

A healthcare facility in Brooklyn is actively seeking an organized and self-motivated Pharmacist to join their growing staff. In this role, the Pharmacist compounds, preserves, and dispenses all medication orders as written by an authorized practitioner. Responsibilities The Pharmacist: Reviews medication orders and pharmacy profiles to ensure that appropriate, quality pharmacy services are being provided to our patients Provides and documents drug information furnished to practitioners Respond to common inquires or complaints from customer, regulatory agencies, or members of the hospital staff Assist management in specialized projects Qualifications Bachelor''s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD with current New York State Hospital and Allscript experience 2+ years'' experience in a hospital pharmacy experience Pharmacist License and Registration Chemotherapy preparation experience Excellent communication skills Extensive knowledge of legal and regulatory standards of hospital pharmacy IV Room 747/800 clear room experience Ability to read, analyze, and interpret pharmacy-related journals Ability to define problems, collect data, establish fact, and draw valid conclusions Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract variables Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as dosage calculations Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customer, regulatory agencies or members of the hospital staff Ability to assist management in specialized projects
