Dental Hygienist

A healthcare facility in Virginia is currently seeking a new Dental Hygienist for a promising opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the Dental Hygienist will be responsible for traveling to surrounding sites and field units as a part of the Mobile Dental Unit to provide dental care and oral healthcare to the patients at those sites. Responsibilities: The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for: Providing routine and emergency dental care to patients with assistance from Dental Assistants and Dental Hygienists Working in partnership with the institutional Dentist to provide routine and emergency dental care to adult offenders Handling a for the full range of dental hygiene care and education provided to patients, including prevention, and treatment of diseases, injury, and deformities of the oral cavity Performing routine dental cleanings and treatments, including examining teeth and gums for cavities, infections and diseases; and takes necessary x-rays Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Dentistry Licensed to practice Dentistry in Virginia Controlled Substances certification from the Drug Enforcement Administration Working knowledge of General Dentistry Solid assessment and documentations kills Patient oriented Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized Desired Skills: Previous work experience training and supervising Dental staff Experience providing Dental Care and Treatment in a Dentist , Military, and/or Correctional setting
