Assembly

The production assembler is responsible for following procedures for product assembly, equipment operation, and safety and quality requirements. Components must be assembled according to the schedule and in time to satisfy the customer''s delivery requirements. The assembler may also be responsible for painting components. • Assemble trailer axles, suspensions, wheel end and axle components according to work instructions, bill or materials (BOMs), and control plans and according to customer requirements • In the event an assembler is responsible for painting components, the team member must monitor the use of paint and minimize hazardous waste • Painting personnel, assisted by material handlers and the ER, are responsible for the clean-up, transportation, storage, and preparation for disposition of all paint waste and off-spec paint • Adhere to the highest practicable safety, quality, and housekeeping standards and perform associated duties as required, reporting any issues that may surface to the operations supervisor • Operate and use all devices and tools in a safe manner and ensure safe operation during set-up • Ensure compliance with the recycling programs • Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety Programs • Work overtime as required based on customer orders COMPENTENCIES: • Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift for up to 10 hours • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds • Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime as needed • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and/or other diagrams Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled.
