JOB SUMMARY: Perform daily repairs of production equipment based on Work Order system and Preventative Maintenance program. Works closely with Production Group Leaders, Assistant Group Leaders, Setup-Technicians, Maintenance Technicians and the Associates to improve their knowledge of the equipment and understanding of each process. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Follows all Company policies as directed by Employee Handbook, Safety Rules and Regulations, and the Quality Manual. 2. Performs tasks as specified by the Preventative Maintenance System. 3. Performs maintenance and troubleshooting to repair production equipment, building and facility grounds as directed by Group Leader, Supervisor or Manager. 4. Completes kaizen and safety related activities. 5. Provides technical skills required for completing repairs and projects. 6. Maintains P.M. and machine history documentation. (Work orders). 7. Creates and maintains TPM check sheets for the production equipment. 8. Participates in TPM events. 9. Assists with training and education of Production Group Leaders, Line Leaders, Setup-Technicians and Associates. 10. Actively participates in continuous improvement activities. 11. Attends project and safety meetings as required. 12. Maintains good communications between Maintenance, Production, Engineering and Management. 13. Operates and maintains certification for driving forklift trucks and cranes. 14. All other duties required of the job or requested by Manager or member of the Management Team. LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITY: None QUALIFICATIONS: (TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION) Two-year Associate Degree or Certification in Electronic or Electrical Technology or equivalent demonstrated capability. One or more years of experience in manufacturing maintenance role. Basic electrical skills including power distribution, and machine controls. Basic mechanical skills including hydraulics, pneumatic systems, metal and plastic fabrication and welding. Able to read and interpret blueprints. Driver''s License and Forklift Certification required. Able to adhere to a strict safety regimen and maintain a safety-conscious environment. PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS: Ability to stand for long periods of time; Ability to maneuver around the Plant; repeatedly bend, squat, move both arms above the head, and move head straight up and down and side to side; Good hand strength, good finger dexterity, repeatedly able to grasp small and large objects and ability to rotate wrists, arms, and shoulders; Good eyesight and hearing; and Ability to lift approximately 25 lbs.
