CNC Machinist

Title: CNC Machinist Summary: This position operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, boring machines, and grinders, to machine metallic and nonmetallic workpieces. Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm with occasional OT or Monday-Friday 3:30pm- 11pm with occasional OT Pay: $17/hr - $18/hr Responsibilities: Download programs into machinery and review for instructions Assist in installations of fixtures and tools Run equipment to produce parts to print and engineering specifications Observe machine operation to detect potential defects and/or malfunctions Make adjustments to machines as needed Remove, setup and replace dull or broken cutting tools. Deburr, stamp, clean and package parts according to instructions Perform minor machine maintenance as needed Promote a safe working environment Keep working area clean and organized Meet daily productivity goals Required Skills and Knowledge: Ability to read blueprints Knowledge of assorted basic hand tools Knowledge of machines including uses, repair and maintenance Ability to conduct tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality and performance Ability to identify problems and assist in resolution Knowledge of the use of a variety of measuring instruments.
