Electrical or Mechanical Engineer with hands-on controls design experience. Experience with high voltage high power applications, ideally in transportation industrial products (trucks, locomotives, transit cars). Knowledge of alternators, rectifiers, traction motors, IGBT inverter-based DC/AC conversion, power electrical components (capacitors, inductors, transformers, filters), propulsion batteries, contactors, breakers, and/or motors/blowers/auxiliary equipment loads. Knowledge of power circuits. Experience deriving control requirements, developing control designs, and/or defining equipment validation plans. Documentation experience; Knowledge of DOORS.
