Eaton''s Electrical Power Systems division is currently seeking a Welder/Leak Tester - 2nd Shift to join our team, pay starting at $23.55- 24.96/hour, depending on experience. Shift Premium of $1.25/hour This position is based at our Badger Drive facility in Waukesha, WI. This position is offering a sign-on bonus of $3,000*, less applicable withholding. *Bonus terms: • Bonuses are being offered for a limited time only. Applications must be submitted on or after June 11, 2021 to qualify. • Bonuses are only applicable to specific job types and shifts; additional terms and conditions may apply. • Associates must be employed at the time of the payout. • Bonuses will be payable in two installments: $2000, less applicable withholding will be paid after three (3) months of employment and the remaining $1000, less applicable withholding will be paid after nine (9) months of employment. The Leak Tester is responsible for prepping tanks for leak testing, ensuring tanks are leak proof by pressure testing or by the use of Dye Penetrant, TIG repair on any weld leaks, applying required studs, ensure cleanliness of the inside of tanks, remove tanks from line or leak tester and palletize, and give final quality check. Operate hydraulic leak test machines. Pressurize tank, apply soap to locate leaks, and repair leaks with TIG weld. Apply required studs using electric stud welding gun, using process standards. Use crane to take tank off line or leak test machine and palletize. Ensure cleanliness of inside of tanks by sweeping down the inside of the front-plate, then using the vacuum to remove debris. Give finished tank an inspector to ensure tank meets customer visual requirements; i.e. weld spatter removed, loose dirt, weld quality/requirements, and ensure that part and feature locations match drawing requirements. Document all non-conformances through use of tracking system by completing Material Reject Tags. Complete other duties as assigned. Why work at Eaton? Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) is required. Minimum of one (1) year welding experience in a manufacturing environment AND/OR successful completion of a welding certification program from an accredited technical school by December 2021. Successfully complete Eaton weld test. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. Relocation is being offered for this role. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of three (3) years manufacturing experience. Experience in weld inspection. Position Success Criteria: Successfully complete Eaton''s weld test (TIG).
