Summary: Evaluating, correcting and eliminating day-to-day processing problems that would result in improved productivity and reduced scrap. Duties: Establishing optimum molding processes through machine, mold and process capability studies. Establishing process controls and maintaining parameter setup sheets at the molding machines. Working with Maintenance to effectively refurbish and maintain molds. Helping out in the day-to-day activities in the mold shop when necessary. Problem-solving, investigating root causes of repetitive problems and implementing permanent corrective action. Continuous improvement of overall molding operation. Participating in the formal Quality program. Helping out in the day-to-day activities as the need arises. Following all safety and housekeeping practices. Working on special projects such as color trials, resin trials, and etc. Working independently to improve cycle time and cavitation on a daily basis. Giving feedback to mold technicians and supervisors as necessary Identifies and participates in continuous improvement activities ***We offer competitive pay!!! Job Requirements Minimum two year technical degree or 3 years of experience with multi-cavity high speed injection molding. Minimum 3 years doing processing and setting-up molds. Familiarity through hands-on experience with majority of plastic resins. Familiarity and/or experience with Compression Molding Exposure to or involvement in ISO systems A good understanding of processing principles and techniques. Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills and basic math skills. Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
